1Hz to 16Hz Stable Oscillator Circuit by 4521

Description:

This is the circuit that I use every time when I need very stable 1Hz frequency. Since there isn't too many components and the basic structure of the circuit makes easier to use this oscillator in other circuit designs. The frequencies of the 4521's outputs are shown in the circuit schematic. The 14 numbered pin is used for 1Hz output. You can see the frequencies (1Hz-16Hz) out of the other pins.

Notes:

1-Since the IC is CMOS, the VDD voltage should be chosen as 5V, 10V or 15V.
2-The 4521 IC's 16th pin must be connected to VDD (supply) and the 8th pin must be connected to the VSS (Ground)

Parts List:

U1: 4521
X1: 4,194304 MHz Crystal
R1: 4k7
R2: 1M
C1, C2: 50pF
