This IR remote control interface project is designed for the Hero Robot as it incorporates the use of PIC16F688 microcontroller along with the BASIC Stamp II.
The goal of this touch sensor is to be placed at a distance away from whatever is reading it since it is designed to take a reading and then communicate that reading digitally.
The project is based around the ATmega8 microcontroller to build an AVR-HID for USB sensor input solution that is aimed for audio and video along with Pure Data/Supercollider or other free software.
A robot that is capable of following a track at a maximum speed is created in this project wherein the brain of the robot is comprised by an Atmel AT90S4433.
The project can be considered as futuristic as a data glove which can be connected through USB instead of RS232 in order to become an alternative controller for the Pinch Glove fingertip contact glove.
