Conversion of RS232 to RS485 Interface

The converter is designed for half duplex mode where the PC communicates with ROV using 2 wires from RS232 and RS485 interface.

The project illustrates the use of bit-banging on a 12F683 device by the PS/2 interface which can come from the mouse or keyboard with the other side of PCB having RS232 serial interface while being combined by microchip PIC microcontroller.

The microchip PIC microcontroller incorporates an I2C interface on one side using bit-banging on a 12F675 device and an RS232 serial interface on the other.
