The USB-DDS project is very useful for amateur radio operators as a reference oscillator sin it generates sine waves from 0 to 40MHz with millihertz resolution under computer control.
The project is a second version of the AVR signal generator where it uses a single sided PCB for simplification while containing both offset and amplitude controls.
The project uses an 8x8 LED matrix and an ATmega32 to create a handheld gaming device which runs a breakout style program and potential-filled self contained platform.
