Mousecatcher Assembly Based on Arduino
|
|
Overview An Arduino is used to make this mousecatcher project along with a servo and other components in order to avoid several types of household pests especially the mouse. Explanation The two Tupperware type containers were used to build the main body of the catcher. There are breadsticks and cheese laid inside the catcher and as the mouse enters the lower container, the servo will get activated by the Arduino that is signaled by a small tripwire. A string is attached to the servo which is designed to pull a pin so that the weighted upper plastic container will be allowed to drop. It will then seal off the mouse which can be disposed outside the house. A flat piece of tin and a piece of small-gauge wire are used to make the trip wire. The wire is made to hang over the tin by a fraction of an inch. A connection can be forced down with the slightest applied pressure since it is considered as a homemade switch that is super sensitive. Any living creature similar to the size of the mouse can fall on this trap but will not result to immediate fatality. Rest of the project
