Three Core Arduino Known as Core3duino

Three Core Arduino Known as Core3duino

Overview

The project illustrates three Arduinos being stacked one on each other in order to provide more resources on a project.

Explanation

The device may be considered as an add-on shield to an add-on shield which results to 60 I/O ports wherein 24 are digital I/O, 18 PWM, 18 analog inputs, and 6 external interrupts. The only requirement for this is to have the Core2duino and it will fit on any Arduino that allows additional shield to be added on top. The shiled will be connected to the base Arduino so other pins will be free. The base Arduino can be used to power the Core3duino. Alternatively, the VIN pins can provide power which will be routed through the VIN pin from base Arduino and back out as 5V to Core2/3duino.

To construct the Core3duino, the Eagle file should be downloaded and printed which will be cut to the size of the copper clad. It will be transferred to the copper clad PCB then etching the copper board will follow. After holes are drilled on the copper clad board, soldering the components will follow. The polarity of placing the components are not much problem.
